The natural end product of budget travel
We’ve all by now no doubt experienced the process of booking with “budget” airlines:
- Flight, Free
- Check-in surcharge - £10
- Checked Luggage Surcharge - £15 per bag
- Online booking surcharge - £5
- Priority boarding surcharge - £10
- Airport Taxes - £60
Seen here is what might be a budget airlines safety annoucement in a few years time…

The perils of travelling using the “cheapest available” routing…
Nerking to the Orcat.
No I don’t know what it means either… My Dilbert desk calendar had this one on it - so I had to go see if it was available online… Oh, and yes, I’ve had conversations about as intelligible as this at work…

(I don’t know the original source - but I found it on the facebook group “Awesome people who are single for no apparent reason.“)
Update: Just to be clear, I’ve not joined the group… I just liked the picture.

Wordle
Thanks to a friends Flickr stream, I’ve discovered Wordle.Net - so I fed it the current RSS feed for this site, and this is what it came up with…
New Bike pt 2
As I posted earlier in the week - I’ve had to buy a new bike.
Unfortunately, my original choice of bike was not available, and as I need the bike after the weekend for commuting to work on (well, until they delayed the parking changes again) I had to get an alternative sorted out.
Thanks to my local bike shop (Don Skene Cycles) having stock of the Specialized Globe range, they were able to prepare the bike while I waited, and I was able to take it home with me. Now that’s service!
So here it is. Read more
