10 POKE 36879,237
20 FOR I = 1 TO 10 STEP 2
30 PRINT “I LOVE MY COMMODORE VIC-20″
40 GET A$: IF A$=”" THEN 40
50 IF A$=”X” THEN STOP
60 NEXT
- 20 years down the line, its still going strong (with its 16k RAM expansion cartridge!)

The poke changes the background colour to a lovely shade of light blue with a green border! (I think - well, either that or it screws up something else in memory)
