    Well, I’m not sure why you needed the POKE line at the start (but then, I was a Spectrum owner - and yes, I’ve still got mine too - and last time I checked it was in working order…)

    The poke changes the background colour to a lovely shade of light blue with a green border! (I think - well, either that or it screws up something else in memory)
