Not Switched to Firefox yet?

If you’re running Windows XP SP2 and still using Internet Explorer then this patch is for you - in fact, it’s for everyone on XP…

In fact, with Christmas so close, I’ll bet many of you have been buying stuff online without realising there’s a gaping hole in the IE security relating to Secure transactions - you know, the ones that start https:// and put that pretty little padlock down on the taskbar.

There’s a new bug in town, and it’s a really nasty one. - Secunia have issued This Advisory relating to this serious fault, along with a demonstration page

Microsoft
have now released a patch for their firewall software to assist you - but the general advice is to disable running of ActiveX controls and set your internet security settings to "high"…

My advice is to do that, install Firefox, then use it instead.
