Hydrology Part 2

Well, today saw my return to Oakwood with better weather… I wasn’t expecting to fit in Hydro, however I took a change of clothes anyway.
I went over to the test seat by the entrance, and was shocked when I managed to connect the two ends of the seatbelt - yeah, I’m gonna fit
Went up to the station, sat in the boat, did up the seatbelt… the operators then came over to push the new shoulder-restraint down pushed down until it touched my shoulders. The computer refused to dispatch
We realised that my arm was on top of Lewis’ and was preventing the bar closing fully, so I tried a seat with no-one next to me… same result…
The operator pushed down… the computer still refused to register the bar as locked… I left the ride having not gotten suitably wet.
Now, I have no problem with this, and the operator seemed somewhat surprised that I didn’t make a fuss, but I understand the safety issues here, and I don’t argue when I don’t fit in a ride. After all, it’s my fault I’m this big… but be warned, the new restraints are more restrictive than the old ones, especially to folks who have larger shoulders (it was my shoulders and chest which prevented the bar closing)
At least getting the seatbelt done up bodes well for my visit to Walibi World and Goliath next month, but I’m not holding out hope for Goliath.
Lewis enjoyed it though - his first visit to Oakwood and he was suitably impressed with MegaFobia!
Thanks to Lewis for his company today, and despite the park being very quiet, it was a good day, mostly spent sitting around and chatting with him.
