Civil Driving

(c)Freefoto.com

Well here it is, those folks over at the US Radio show “Car Talk” have produced a guide to civil driving.

A few of the details given on their website are a bit American focused - but the principles apply everywhere…

  1. Pay Attention.
  2. What’s the hurry? Slow down
  3. Leave enough stopping distance. That is, don’t tailgate.
  4. Keep your car in good working order.
  5. Practice for dangerous conditions
  6. Is getting to work on time really that important?
  7. Sleepy? Pull over.
  8. Be courteous
  9. Forgive others their transgressions
  10. Don’t be a vigilante

To read the full article - including the additional details for each point (like exactly what is tailgating) - go to The Official Cartalk Website (where the 11th one will be revealed!)
