Here’s a new twist - the virus that holds your files to ransom. As reported on MSNBC News the latest version of “drive by” infection (where a infected webpage silently downloads and runs some software on your PC) searches for and encrypts certain files.

The decryptor programme is then offered to the user for a price, in this case $200. Needless to say this scam only affects “vulnerable” browsers.
