Yes, it’s back, the pointless excuse for -ABCDE- F-List “celebrities” to humiliate themselves on television undertaking various degrading challenges in exchange for a little publicity…

No, I won’t be watching, but I’m curious to find out if I’ve heard of any of them…

So that’s one I’ve heard of… there’s a couple who might be related to someone who was famous (although when simply being Baroness Margaret Thatchers [b]daughter[/b] is enough to qualify for the show, then they’re clearly getting very very desperate to find people willing to take part)

Oh well, another reality TV non-event to settle down and ignore.

Interesting, one of the suggestions is “watch less television” - I just hope they present that one last, or they might find viewers switching off to go and do something… sorry, wrong programme…

Last night I finally figured out why my TivoWeb setup wasn’t working from anywhere other than my home PC - and of course, it was a firewall problem - but not where I expected it to be.

The firewall between the internet and my home LAN was set up fine - forwarding the port to the correct PC on the network (that PC then provides security before passing the HTTP requests through to the TiVo® DVR itself) - however I’d forgotten about the software firewall running on that PC - which was then rejecting the incoming HTTP requests as an “attempted port scan” and rejecting them outright.

A couple of tweaks to the firewall rules, and all was well again…

Sometime I’ll have to check into the newer TiVoWeb Plus project and see what extra stuff it gives me…
