The Spammers have a new weapon

The blog-spammers appear to have a new weapon - they now read the page code in to establish what they need to send to the server to bypass the traps based on not coming from the correct page on the site.

After weeks of being spam-free, it looks like I’ll have to try more stuff to get past this (or finally make the switch to Wordpress…)

In order to attempt to stop a lot of these “short” automated comments spams, I’ve now set a minimum length of 18 words for comments.

Yes, I’m using this post and it’s comments to do some testing - please ignore - and that 18 word limit is actually fairly long!
