I’m in a minority…
Apparently, 70% of the UK population are expected to watch “the big game” (I beleive it’s some kind of football match) - I will be one of 30% who won’t be watching.
Maybe I should have thought about this a bit more in advanced and gone somewhere which is normally very busy… like Alton Towers, in the hope that 70% of the people who would normally be at the park on a day like today, will in fact be watching said match.

I watched the first half and got bored. Went to the supermarket. It was fantastic! Hardly anyone.
I was also one of the 30% , no traffic on the roads during the match,
I decided after making that post to go down to the cinema - so few people around, so little traffic…
Superb - if the rest of the World Cup makes life this easy, excellent!
I don’t know Alton’s plans, but Thorpe were showing the match on their new-improved big screen in the Dome. I wonder how they re-cuped all the lost revenue from Dancing Heads?
Not usually one for the football, I thought I’d be all patriotic and watched a bit of the BBC’s live streaming. Then I remembered why I never usually watch the footie. It may have been slightly interesting if England bothered to even try scoring a couple of goals rather than taking the wimpish way out.
