The Chronology of Alton Towers

Introduction

In this re-presentation of this article which has been on this website since it’s days as “Adrenaline Rush“, I intend to present an accurate and (hopefully) complete history of Alton Towers - from it’s inauguration as a modern park in 1980 right through to the present day.

This is continuous work in progress, so please help me along by sending email to correct the information here, or to add information that I’m missing.

This article will be regularly updated to keep abreast of changes at the park - and updates will be advertised via the main Blog pages.
